January 3 – January 23, 2022

*“Blow the trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly. Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children...“ Joel 2:15-16a

*“We humble ourselves and pray and seek Your face, turning from our wicked ways and we thank You for hearing and forgiving our sin and healing our land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

January 3 – Read John 1

Prayer focus: REPENTANCE  John 1:29 Jesus is “The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”

Confess every sin that the Holy Spirit brings to your remembrance and accept His forgiveness.  Spend time worshipping Him for His power to forgive sin. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

January 4 – Read John 2

Prayer focus: OBEDIENCE  John 2:5 “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

Commit to obey God and His Word, and ask for increased faith to believe for the miraculous.  “Create in me a clean heart, Oh God, and renew a right spirit within me. Fill me with your presence. Refocus me on the joy of Your salvation which restores me. Grant me a willing and obedient spirit to sustain me, then I will be effective and influential in turning others to You.” Ps. 51:10

January 5 – Read John 3

Prayer focus: SURRENDER  John 3:20,21a “He must increase, but I must decrease. He who comes from above is above all.”

Surrender fully to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Master and ask for increased understanding of His direction/plan for your life. “Open my ears to hear your Word, may I not be disobedient nor turn back for You are my helper.” Isaiah 50:4

January 6 – Read John 4

Ask and believe for a touch on your physical body to heal all of your diseases. “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our wickedness, the punishment for our sorrows was on Him, and with his stripes we are healed.” Is. 53:5 (Amp)

January 8 – Read John 6

Prayer focus: DEPENDENCE John 6:20 “It is I, do not be afraid.”

Acknowledge God’s faithfulness and ability to provide for your every need and give Him your cares and concerns. Express to Him that you are in need (like the five thousand who were hungry) or in the middle of a storm (like the disciples on the boat) and ask for Him to come to you.  “But as for me. I trust confidently in You and Your greatness, Oh Lord.” Ps. 31:14a

January 9 – Read John 7

Prayer focus: HOLY SPIRIT John 7:38 “…out of his heart will flow rivers of Living Water”.

Ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit according to Ephesians 5:18.  Pray for Him to use you in the gifts of the spirit in your daily life.  Ask that as we gather today, we will experience an outpouring of His Spirit like we have not seen before. “And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.” Acts 4:31

Pray that His great love will be revealed to every person and that we will give the unconditional love of the Father to our families, friends, church, and community. “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

January 13 – Read John 11

Prayer focus: GLORY John 11:40 “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?”

Pray for His glory to be revealed to all of us, that His presence be manifested in the midst of His people, and that miracles would be released as a sign to the unbelievers. “But the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of The Lord, as the waters cover the seas.”  Habakkuk 2:14

Pray for revival to sweep across the USA. Pray that the Word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be honored in our schools, workplaces, and among our neighbors. Prayer focus: HE WILL PROVIDE John 16: 24 “Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”

Ask for the things you need to live and to do His work. Call out the names of those in service to The Lord that come to your mind and ask for provision to do the work faster and more effectively. Pray for all forms of deception to lose their power and for people all over the world to have encounters with Jesus and find Him as Lord. Name those false religions and false beliefs that come to mind and take authority over them, replacing them with the truth of who He is. Spend time worshipping the only one who is worthy! “That the light of Christ would shine on those whose minds have been blinded by the god of this age and open their hearts to receive the love of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4-6

Invite His Holy Spirit to renew you with fresh anointing. Ask Him to give our church and community an outpouring of His Holy Spirit. Pray for boldness to carry His gospel and win the lost. Pray for the world to experience a supernatural visitation of His Holy Spirit. “But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh: Your sons and daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.” Acts 2:16-17
